University of Hawai’i Economic Research Organization (UHERO), Social Science Research Institute (SSRI), College of Social Sciences, University of Hawai’i at Manoa (Honolulu, Hawai’i) invites applicants for the position of Assistant or Associate Professor. This is a 9-month, full- time, permanent, tenure-track faculty appointment to begin as soon as January 1, 2026, subject to position clearance and availability of funds. 

Duties: Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, Mentor and advise students, Conduct applied research in one or more of the following areas: economic forecasting, macroeconomics, regional economics, tourism economics, Publish in peer-reviewed academic journals, Serve as principal investigator on extramurally funded projects, Contribute directly to UHERO’s core forecast mission, the development of forecasting models and the preparation of state, county and industry forecasts; monitor developments in local, national and global economies, and interact with government agencies and various stakeholders to both gather and share relevant information, Contribute to policy analysis and reports, other specialized research reports, Provide service and outreach in congruence with UHERO’s mission, Other duties as assigned by the director.
